E-Government’s role in encouraging participation and informing citizens about the environmental impact

E-Government is taking a step further in innovation to invent a website that allows citizen to monitor the rate at which they consume electricity and water, and automatically inform citizens about the environmental impact. The secondary objective is to encourage public participation that will assist government in service delivery by gaining knowledge of citizens’ concerns. The literature survey will look at research and projects in usability, public participation and previously implemented technologies related to e-Government.
